Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
God our strong deliverer: when those charged with the urgent mediation of your healing power feel overwhelmed by the numbers of the suffering, uphold them in their fatigue and banish their despair. Let them see with your eyes, so they may know all their patients as precious. Give comfort, and renew their energy and compassion, for the sake of Jesus in whom is our life and our hope.
Almighty and eternal God, from whom all blessings flow, accept our prayers and thanksgivings for your servant Keith.
Give us, we pray, grateful hearts for the courageous willingness of our neighbors to enter into danger on our behalf. In your mercy, bind up the injured, and replenish the spirits of those wounded in body or soul. Help us to honor and serve those who have served in our name.
All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
